In April 2016 we opened our first dive centre in Sri Lanka. During this successful first season in Trincomalee for the East Coast season which runs from May to September, we offered activities including snorkeling, scuba diving and dolphin watching. We are now please to announce that we will be opening a second centre for the West Coast season in Negombo!
Diving in Negombo takes place from November to April and offers a great variety of dive sites both for diving on reefs with lots of reef fish and shoaling fish, as well as remnants of a World War II fighter air craft. Also accessible from Negombo are many wreck dives including barges, steam ships and the cargo ship, the ‘Pecheur Breton’ which sank in 1994.
Our new centre opening in November will offer expanded room to cater for more guests. With the growth of tourism in Sri Lanka, we are really excited to welcome guests and show them our stunning underwater environment and marine life – and indeed with the various PADI courses we run (both recreational and technical to 50m) all the further opportunities open to people with each certification they take! We are also delighted at the increasing interest from fellow Sri Lankans in taking qualifications to become certified divers…… We look forward to welcoming all divers, beginners to advanced, at our new center soon!
